Orlando and Independence Day! A Landslide of Fun

Orlando and Independence Day! A Landslide of Fun
  • Post Category:News

In Orlando, it’s the Fourth of July weekend, and as family and friends gather in person once again, Central Florida is offering a number of extravagant fireworks displays and other ways to celebrate the holiday. We tend to think of July 4, 1776, as a day that represents the Declaration of Independence. But, it, in fact, represents the Declaration of Independence and the birth of the United States of America as an independent nation. July 4, also known as Independence Day, which does marks the anniversary of the Second Continental Congress adopting the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776. In fact, the Congress made up of delegates from the United States’ original 13 colonies, that was unanimously approved the document that it in fact declared independence from Great Britain.

This year, Independence Day will mark a special time of celebration as more people can gather safely for cookouts, live music, parties, and community events. Though Altamonte Springs’ popular event, Red Hot & Boom, has been canceled this year, fireworks are back at SeaWorld and Walt Disney World, along with a number of free displays in Central Florida for July Fourth.
